Sussex County Cricket Club, the world’s oldest professional sports club, is looking for enthusiastic Casual Hospitality Assistants to join our Sixes team at The 1st Central County Ground in the heart of Hove. Our historic venue hosts thrilling cricket matches, including T20 clashes and County Championship fixtures, as well as large-scale concerts and corporate events.
Sixes Social Cricket combines a word-class food and drink offering with hospitality's newest and most exciting social entertainment concept.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the venue and delivering an exceptional experience for our guests.

Duties
You will be offering our guests the best possible experience, serving food and drinks efficiently and be engaging in a polite and friendly manner. This is a guest facing role where you could be working in a busy environment.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing information about the venue, current promotions, and events
- Carry out the guest induction, highlighting the safety instructions, setting guests up in batting net system and explaining the game play.
- Monitor guests to ensure that the safety instructions are adhered to and the batting net system is operating smoothly
- Assist customers with seating arrangments, taking reservations, and accommodating special requests to ensure their comfort and satisfaction
- Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently while making recommendations and delivering items to tables in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the dining and soclialising areas, including clearing tables, sanitising surfaces, and replensihing supplies
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination between the front-of-house and back-of-house operation
- Assist with basic bar duties, such as restocking, preparing garnishes, and assisting bartenders during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest service
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
This is is a casual role on an hourly rate of £12.21
