Title: Catering Events Manager

Aramark UK is seeking a dynamic Stadium Events Catering Manager to join our friendly team at Sussex County Cricket Club
Sussex County Cricket Club is the world's oldest professional sports club. Our historic venue hosts thrilling cricket matches, including T20 clashes and County Championship fixtures, as well as large-scale concerts and corporate events.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the venue's matchday and non-matchday events offering, laying the foundation for its long term commercial success. This role is central to positioning the stadium as a premier destination for a wide range of events, from corporate conferences and exhibitions to weddings and private celebrations, match day operations and the newest addition of Sixes indoor cricket ensuring the venue becomes a key driver of ongoing revenue generation.
The stadium has a range of premium facilities that can accommodate conference and events for 100-400. In addition to match day guests of up to 6500.
We are offering a competitive salary of £30,263 for this full-time position
This role includes but is not limited to:
- Being a point of contact for clients organising events with the support of the Sales Manager
- To be visible on floor and build relationships with all stakeholders
- To co-ordinate event space booking/availability, set up and reinstate with the Events Coordinator
- To deliver fine dining hospitality service on match days
- To schedule staffing for events and match days ensuring labour budgets are followed
- Ensure financial documentation and accountancy of the unit (and those from suppliers) is accurate and within agreed budgeted levels
- To ensure the areas of ownership are compliant to Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures
- Motivate and lead catering employees to perform their roles to a high standard and in alignment to Aramark policies and procedures
- Ensure tariff prices are correct, that all catering services are costed and charged according to the terms of the contract and that prices are customer visible
- Maintain levels of stock, cash, local credit and debt outstanding to the agreed establishment targets
Requirements for this role
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience within stadia or conference and events industry with the ability to take charge and introduce change
- Experience with Food Safety
- Strong financial acumen and computer literate
- Client and customer focused
- Excellent communicator and organiser with a strong can-do attitude
- A passion for hospitality
