Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant to join our dynamic catering team in Sligo, Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused individual to become part of a busy catering operation, supporting food service delivery and contributing to an exceptional dining experience. As a Catering Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our team to ensure smooth daily operations whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and cleanliness.

• Support the catering operation by assisting with food preparation and food service in a professional and efficient manner - Serve customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, ensuring a positive experience at every interaction - Maintain rigorous standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout food preparation and service areas - Follow all food safety, allergen awareness, and health & safety procedures at all times
• Assist with stock replenishment, inventory management, and basic kitchen duties as required - Support the wider catering team to ensure seamless daily operations and service delivery - Contribute to delivering an excellent customer experience through attention to detail and a collaborative approach - Adapt flexibly to meet operational needs and support team members when required

Qualifications

**Required Skills and Attributes:** - Strong customer service and people skills with a friendly and professional demeanour - Excellent communication abilities and a positive attitude towards learning - Proven ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team - Reliable, punctual, and dependable approach to work

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards - Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods during shifts - Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing operational requirements **Desirable Experience:** - Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or customer service environments - Familiarity with food safety and hygiene procedures
• Basic knowledge of allergen awareness and health & safety compliance - Experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting **Essential Knowledge:** - Willingness to obtain or maintain food hygiene certification - Understanding of basic food safety principles - Commitment to following procedures and instructions accurately
