Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant to join our dynamic food service team in Shannon, Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative organisation, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food service and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will assist in preparing meals, supporting service operations, and ensuring every customer receives outstanding care and attention. - Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients whilst adhering to food hygiene standards

• Support the catering team during busy service periods to ensure smooth and efficient operations - Maintain exemplary standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen and dining areas - Undertake washing up, dishwashing, and general housekeeping duties with meticulous attention to detail
• Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures consistently and conscientiously - Provide warm, professional, and attentive customer service to all customers, staff, and visitors - Assist with stock management, inventory checks, and basic food storage procedures - Contribute positively to team morale and support colleagues in delivering an inclusive and welcoming environment

Qualifications

**Required Skills and Attributes:** - A positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude with genuine passion for customer service - Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers - Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a supportive environment

• Reliable, flexible, and adaptable approach to work with resilience in a fast-paced setting - Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation - Physical fitness and capability to stand for extended periods and lift items safely - Basic numeracy skills for portion control and stock management

**Desirable Skills and Experience:** - Previous experience in catering, food service, or hospitality environments - Food hygiene certification or willingness to obtain Level 1 or Level 2 Food Hygiene certification - Experience working in a team-oriented, customer-focused setting **Additional Requirements:**

• Garda vetting clearance (or equivalent background check as required by Irish legislation) - Legal right to work in Ireland - Full induction and on-the-job training will be provided to the successful candidate
