Salary: £29,940 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week (working 7 out of every 14 days)

Aramark UK is on the lookout for a talented, enthusiastic, and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Uppingham School, one of the UK’s leading independent schools. Based in the heart of Rutland, you’ll be working in one of two central hub kitchens that support 15 boarding houses spread across the town.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support the Head Chef by leading shifts and ensuring smooth kitchen operations
  • Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to high standards and consistent quality
  • Motivate and manage your team, allocating tasks effectively
  • Maintain food safety standards and allergen compliance
  • Oversee food production, stock levels, ordering, and minimise waste
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene through daily and weekly deep cleans
  • Train and develop team members on the job

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Legal right to work in the UK, and UK residency for at least the past 3 years
  • Able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
  • A relevant culinary qualification or at least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable due to location
