Aramark UK is recruiting a passionate Chef de Partie to join our skilled culinary team at HMS Caledonia, Rosyth (KY11 2XH) — a prestigious Naval base and the home of Naval Command for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
This is a rare opportunity to work in a unique, high‑profile Defence environment, delivering nutritious, high‑quality meals to over 250 Navy personnel, including Officers, Senior Rates and Junior Rates — as well as supporting the Band of the Royal Marines.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you’ll play a key role in food production across both the Junior Rates Mess and Officers Mess, preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation.
Working closely with the Sous Chef and wider kitchen team, you’ll help ensure smooth service, minimal wastage and full compliance with Aramark brand and food safety standards — all in a fast‑paced, professional environment where your skills truly matter.

A Day in the Life
- Supporting food production across military dining and hospitality services
- Preparing high‑volume, nutritious meals to exacting standards
- Working collaboratively to control food levels and reduce waste
- Assisting the Sous Chef with kitchen checks, analysis and documentation
- Completing opening and closing checklists accurately
- Learning and following procedures across all kitchen sections
- Completing required training to support your development
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Relevant culinary qualification
- Experience cooking high‑volume meals in catering or retail environments
- Food Safety certification
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude
- Proficient spoken English
- Ability to maintain records and complete kitchen documentation
- Ability to pass DBS and full security vetting
Eligibility requirement:
Due to sector requirements, you must have resided in the UK for the past 3 years, have the legal right to work, and be able to pass all security and DBS checks.
