Your Role

Aramark is currently recruiting for an Administrative (Quartermasters Department) to join our team at Ripon


This is a full time role working 37 hours per week.  


You will be required to deliver direct clerical and administrative support the QM/RQMS and all dependencies. You will also need to interface with a variety of agencies.


DBS and Security Clearance Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a focal point for all matters associated with the QM Department. 
  • Maintain, locate, update and record movements of files within the filing system, creating new files when necessary within the deadlines laid down by the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act. 
  • Provide information in compliance with the FOI. 
  • Operate a central distribution point for all mail within the QM Department ensuring that it is circulated on time to all sub-departments. 
  • Provide 'Helpdesk', guide visitors and calls (both civilian and military) to correct departments. 
  • Liaise with other departments and outside units to relay and retrieve information and draft applicable documentation as necessary using Microsoft Office. 
  • Deal with telephone enquiries on behalf of the QM and intercept calls when he is not available. 
  • Update amendments to manuals, directories, and publications within the QM Department. 
  • Order, maintain and bring to account stationery supplies. 
  • Maintain the stationery budget reporting anomalies/progress on a regular basis to the QM. 
  • Carry out miscellaneous photocopying and organise maintenance of photocopier
  • Transmit outgoing and incoming faxes and distribute as necessary. 
  • Issue information for soldiers and officers removal services of both accompanied and unaccompanied baggage for local, UK and world-wide movement. 
  • Liaise with contractors to arrange for collection of soldiers' and officers' personal effects on posting. 
  • Attend meetings and take minutes on behalf of the QM.

Key Requirements

  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • strong written and verbal skills
  • IT (MS Word/Excel)
  • Previous experience of working in an Administration role, with good organisational and system skills
