Pay: £12.71/hour   

Hours: 35 Hour Contract, Monday to Sunday 

 

We’re looking for a Barista to join our team at RNLI to help create a welcoming space for our customers. If you love working with people and want a role that offers flexibility, training, and career growth, this could be the perfect fit.

What you’ll do: 

  • Prepare and serve beverages
    • Make high-quality coffees (espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.), teas, and other drinks following company recipes and standards.
  • Deliver excellent customer service
    • Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, handle payments, and create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Maintain product knowledge
    • Understand menu items, ingredients, and allergens to confidently answer customer queries and make recommendations.
  • Operate coffee equipment
    • Use and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene
    • Keep the café, workstations, and equipment clean and compliant with food safety and health regulations.
  • Handle cash and transactions
    • Process payments using tills or POS systems accurately and responsibly.

 

What we’re looking for: 

  • Knowledge of food handling.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, well organised, self-motivated, customer service oriented.
  • Problem solver with a can-do attitude.
  • Responsible and reliable disposition.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
