Aramark have a exciting opportunity arise for a chef to work within our catering team here at HMP Rye Hill, this is a role that involves working with & supervising our Prisoner Workforce.
This role is suited to a Chef with a conscientious and innovative approach who will develop and has the commitment to deliver exceptional service in line with our customers and client demands. This is a customer facing role and requires a proactive individual.

    ⦁    Full time! 38 hours per week, 3 on 3 off, rolling shift pattern.

What you'll be doing

  • ⦁    Work with a team of chefs and enhanced inmates to deliver meals, 3 times a day
    ⦁    Supervising and assisting enhanced inmates in the kitchen
    ⦁    Work alongside prisoner workforces and assist them in cooking meals and preparing food
    ⦁    You will be responsible for the preparation of basic quality foods within a set pre ordered menu
    ⦁    Effective and efficient food production in line with recipe sheets
    ⦁    Full knowledge of all menu items served
    ⦁    Ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy
    ⦁    Fill in all relevant paperwork and due diligence forms
    ⦁    Be an excellent team player and be able to deal with conflict if it arises
    ⦁    Undertake relevant training as required

Experience

⦁    Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have legal right to work
⦁    Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
⦁    Previous supervisory skills (2 years minimum)
⦁    Experience working in a large scale kitchen
