Title: Food Service Assistant

Pay: £14.00/hour
Hours: Permanent, 20 hours/week
We’re looking for a Food Service Assistant to join our team at Sainsburys Frozen, Pineham. You will help create a welcoming space for our customers. If you love working with people and want a role that offers flexibility, training, and career growth, this could be the perfect fit.

What you’ll do:
- Serve food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation and combinations in line with brand standards and answer questions about the products
- Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services including hot sandwiches in line with Aramark brand standards
- Take payment and keep financial records as required
- Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise
- Clean Kitchen & Servery areas, crockery and cutlery using equipment when trained to do so
- Clean and tidy counter, light equipment and public areas
- Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults or hazards identified during the course of the work
- Perform daily paper/computer work she/he is assigned
- Keeps diligent records as required
- Follows food hygiene and safety procedures in line with health and safety requirements
- Undertake relevant training as required
What we’re looking for:
- Food hygiene certificate – Level 2 desirable. However, relevant training will be provided.
- Previous customer service and kitchen knowledge experience is great, but not essential – full training provided!
