Sales and Marketing in the Malthouse Café, Midleton Distillery Experience, Co. Cork.
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Sales and Marketing Manager, reporting directly to the Malthouse Café Manager, the Sales and Marketing Manager will have responsibility for co-ordinating and managing the entire sales and marketing function within the business.
Based in Malthouse Café, Midleton Distillery Experience, Co. Cork the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a Sales and Marketing plan in order to meet our commercial targets. This is a pro-active role involving key account management with a focus on the MICE markets and visitor catering.
Key Duties Include:
• Create and implement a sales and marketing plan and achieve agreed commercial targets.
• Manage all sales and marketing activities along with Irish Distillers.
• Support Aramark Ireland head office sales and marketing team on business development activities as required.
• Networking, building and maintaining relationships with a view to securing new business.
• Leading, managing and developing a successful and experienced sales team to achieve the business goals for this prestigious Aramark Ireland contract.
• Provide regular financial and activity-based sales reports to the Malthouse Café Manager.
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the key stakeholders –Irish Distillers and Aramark Ireland, key clients and our trade partners.
• Promote a professional image of Malthouse Cafe and Aramark Ireland at all times both internally and externally.
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience within the tourism / hospitality industry, 3 years of which should be at a management level.
• Degree level qualification in business / hospitality related discipline would be a distinct advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, create, execute and measure innovative online, offline and public relations strategies to deliver business targets.
• Commercially aware, keyed into changes within the industry with a proven ability to develop new business, increase revenue and maximise yield performance.
• Previous Sales Management experience working with a high quality, globally recognised brand.
• Ability to share passion for our business with our clients, to communicate a vision and build meaningful, long-term relationships.
• Flexibility to travel should this be required.
• A passion for food, excellence in customer service and is ready to challenge in the interest of delivering improvements across all areas of our business.
• In depth knowledge of the MICE markets, both nationally and internationally to ensure Malt house Café, Midleton Distillery Experience
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high attention to detail
• Competent in developing budgets, delivering accurate monthly sales forecasts and managing costs.
