Catering Manager – Government Services 

 
Location: Multi-site role, primarily based at RAF Lossiemouth (occasional travel to Grantown-on-Spey) 
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent, 40 hours per week
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000


We’re recruiting an experienced Catering Manager to lead a high volume, multi-site catering operation within a structured Government Services environment. This is a senior role, based at RAF Lossiemouth, where operational excellence, food quality and compliance are essential. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and develop catering teams across sites 
  • Oversee daily catering operations, functions, and events 
  • Manage recruitment, rotas, training, and retention 
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and H&S standards 
  • Lead catering assurance inspections and audits 
  • Manage budgets, food costs, stock control, and waste reduction 
  • Build strong, professional relationships with client representatives 

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing high volume catering operations (multi-site preferable) 
  • Strong leadership and people management skills 
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and compliance 
  • Commercially aware with experience managing costs and budgets 
  • Comfortable working in a structured or regulated environment 
  • Intermediate or Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate preferred
