Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Cook in their Education sector to join our team at Waltham Forest College, E17 4JB.  

Provide a breakfast and lunch service at the college for roughly 250 – 350 covers.

Job Responsibilities

    • Oversee food production and service, ensuring an efficient workflow and high-quality meal preparation. 
    • Ensure all food is prepared according to recipe specifications, menu requirements, and quality standards while minimising waste. 
    • Delegate tasks, supervise General Assistants, and train new employees on food preparation, customer service, and safety procedures 
    • Ensure compliance with HACCP, COSHH, allergen regulations, and company food safety policies, including accurate record keeping. 
    • Track inventory levels, complete stock checks, place orders, and manage stock rotation to reduce waste and control costs. 
    • Handle customer enquiries, dietary requirements, and complaints professionally while promoting a positive dining experience. 
    • Assist the Chef Manager in managing food costs, achieving gross profit targets, and maintaining waste levels within the 5% target. 
    • Maintain production records, temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and documentation required for audits and compliance purposes. 

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role. 
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team 
  • Courteous manner 
  • Flexible approach to hours and duties
