And we need talented, energetic, passionate people to help us do it. We are currently recruiting for a permanent Regional Support Manager to help support our Education and Healthcare sector within the North & Scotland Region. Due to the geography of these contracts, the ideal candidate would be based between North of England (Carlisle/ Newcastle) or up to the South Scotland as travel will be a key element of this role. This is a great opportunity to deliver an excellent service to our clients. The key purpose of this role is to deliver all operational elements within a designated area of business.  A strong focus in food service or retail is a key requirement. The role will report directly into a Regional Operations Director.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with unit management to build and maintain close working relationship with each client, ensuring contact with the highest possible level, so as to establish client understanding and satisfaction with current operations
  • Seeking to develop strong working relationships and to be able to articulate Aramark’s policies and standards
  • Positively check on a regular basis, client’s satisfaction and needs, reporting the outcome to the Regional Operations Director / Sector Director
  • Working with the Operations teams to support key accounts in operational and financial delivery
  • Providing coaching for front line teams to support service delivery through strong implementation of company initiatives, food concepts and retail standards
  • Promoting high standards of food, service and hygiene in line with company standards and client objectives
  • Attending regular progress meetings with the Regional Operations Director and any other meetings as required
  • Preparing reports as and. when required for the Regional Operations Director / Sector Director
  • Assisting Business Development Managers with new sales bids
  • Enforcing Aramark and client policies and procedures for ensuring the Health, Safety and Welfare of all persons connected with the units
  • Working with the Operational team to deliver regional financial targets
  • Ensuring each Unit Manager understands financial targets relating to the client’s budgets
  • Ensuring performance against targets is monitored thus ensuring management control of accounting procedures
  • Supporting mobilization of new business including elements of project management
  • Providing coaching, leadership and motivation for all employee improvement in job performance, satisfaction and development
  • Maintaining and developing good employee relations (TUPE, Unions, Discipline and Grievances)
  • Management of employee relations to be in accordance with Aramark’s policies and procedure 

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 Years operational experience at a Management level  in the food service or food retail industry.
  • Experience in catering operations or multi-site operations
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working within the Education Market across multiple sectors e.g., FE, HE, Schools
  • Successfully worked across multi sites with a track record of building and maintain client relationships
  • Proven track record of managing P&L, with strong financial acumen and accounting experience
  • A full and clean driving license as there will be a requirement to travel
  • Passion for great Food & Service and strong team building skills to plan, direct and motivate the team
  • Results focused and consistently achieves results
