Job Description
Aramark UK is looking for a skilled IT Point of Sale Engineer who will be responsible for developing and supporting POS systems and driving our POS strategy. Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to build relationships both internally and externally in order to provide a first-class customer service that supports business goals and objectives.
As a POS Engineer you will instal, maintain and troubleshoot POS software, operate as the subject matter expert in your field, in addition to overseeing all integrations of customer facing technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain POS systems, including hardware and software components
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for POS systems to resolve issues promptly
- Act as the subject matter expert for client facing technology solutions
- Support regular system updates and patches to ensure security and functionality
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to integrate POS systems with other business applications
- Monitor POS system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Train staff on the use of POS systems and provide ongoing support and guidance
- Develop and maintain documentation for POS system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Stay up-to-date with the latest POS technologies and industry trends
- Assist in the testing, planning and execution of POS system upgrades and migrations
- Supporting the 2nd line service desk with problem analysis
- Participating in the out-of-hour support service Rota
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a field-based POS engineer or similar support desk experience
- Knowledge of Oracle/Micros POS solution is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of POS hardware and software, including installation and troubleshooting
- Experience with POS system integration and network configurations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Innovative problem solving
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- Have a proven track record of managed delivery with consistent timeliness and quality outcomes
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
