We are currently recruiting for a Catering Supervisor / Team Lead to join our exciting new team at Hartpury University, GL19 3BE

The new flexible catering hub will be a superb modern facility with state-of-the-art technology and sustainable features, meeting both short and long term demands and objectives of Hartpury to provide a greatly improved catering service to staff and students.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading a team, delegating tasks and ensuring the smooth day to day running of the site.
  • Setting up buffets or other dining areas.
  • Cleaning and sanitising dining tables, crockery and cutlery.
  • Till work and serving customers, including cashing up
  • Participating in trade shows to promote the company's catering services.
  • Receiving and unloading deliveries.
  • Managing buffet stations and refilling empty chafing dishes as required.
  • Packing up all catering equipment, dishes, and leftover food after events have concluded.
  • Support in monthly stock takes
  • Assisting management with any other duties that may be required
  • Support in the kitchen when needed for basic food preparation
  • Preparation of any other public facing areas as required including set up for hospitality events
  • Carry out regular team briefs and safety briefs as required

Experience

  • Previous supervisory/team leader experience is required
  • A confident team leader and an excellent team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A DBS check will be required for this role
