About the Role

Aramark is looking for a skilled and motivated Cook to join our catering team at USP Palmers College. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant educational setting, preparing and serving fresh, nutritious meals to students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals efficiently in line with recipe sheets
• Maintain food quality and presentation standards throughout service
• Manage food production to minimise waste and ensure consistent availability
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
• Record food volumes and overproduction accurately
• Assist with kitchen setup and closing procedures
• Contribute ideas for menu improvements and operational efficiency
• Perform both back-of-house and front-of-house duties as required
• Undertake relevant training and development

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a catering or cooking role preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable to meet business needs
• Enhanced DBS clearance required
