Aramark Workplace Group UK is looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Head Chef to join the team in Scotland and the north of England based in Grangemouth. This is a permanent opportunity with some travel required so a valid driving licence and access to transport are essential for this role.
This role would be based at Ineos - Grangemouth with travel mostly within the central belt of Scotland but would include occasional travel to other parts of Scotland and the north of England with some overnight stays required. Hours are predominately Mon-Fri between 7am -5pm (40 hours per week) but there would be some requirement for occasional evening and weekend work depending on support needs.

A day in the life of a Head Chef:
- Train and run kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all activities
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardise production recipes to ensure quality
- Ensure accurate equipment operation/maintenance and ensures proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- Regularly review performance with each member of the team
- Ensure that training records are maintained
- Check that all supplies are a specified quality and not breaching purchasing policy as outlined by Purchasing
- Supervise portion numbers, control food wastage on site and take appropriate action as the need arises
- Support sites with events, hospitality and operational support
- Opportunity to be involved in events and projects across the region
- Support commercial processes to maintain site targets where needed

- Experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems
- A passion for service and quality
- Good people leadership skills
- Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative
- Good knowledge of financial systems and control measures
