Aramark UK is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Virgin Money, Bothwell Street in Glasgow City Centre.

 

Working alongside the Site Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring our team delivers outstanding customer service every day. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality, operations, and people development.

 

Virgin Money Glasgow is a busy office environment with a vibrant food and drink offering, including:

  • A high traffic coffee bar
  • Daily food and drink service for colleagues and visitors
  • High volume hospitality and events delivered across multiple areas within the building

 

 

The role requires flexibility, with some evening work to support events. Experience in managing digital order systems, large-volume hospitality orders, and bespoke event catering is highly desirable, especially as we look to expand event services soon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputising for the Site Manager and supporting site management processes
  • Motivating your team and fostering a strong service-focused culture
  • Supporting stock control, ordering, rota planning, and staff training
  • Ensuring cleaning schedules are followed and standards are maintained
  • Operating tills and handling cash while identifying upselling opportunities
  • Preparing drinks and serving food to a high standard
  • Greeting customers and creating a welcoming environment
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of menu items and confidently training new starters
  • Managing cash handling, order recording, and cashing up procedures

 

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a catering, food service, or hospitality setting
  • Confidence coordinating digital orders and supporting events
  • Strong people skills and the ability to motivate and coach a team
