Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef in their Education sector to join our team at Gateshead College, NE8 3BE.  

You will be assisting with the production of both hot and cold food, deli grab & go items and serving on the hot food counter at breakfast and lunchtime, providing excellent customer service to our customers and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are followed.

Job Responsibilities

• You will be preparing both hot and cold food, alongside deli grab & go items (sandwiches, wraps, salads and fruit pots) 

• You will be serving on the hot counter at breakfast and lunchtime, keeping track of any dishes running low and carrying out Food Safety at all times. 

• Placing orders and performing stock takes, alongside assisting with storing deliveries and deep cleans of the unit on a daily/weekly basis. 

• You will be operating tills and taking payments, whilst providing excellent customer service to our customers. You will also be upselling sizes and products. 

• Organising and coordinating hospitality  

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a school environment would be beneficial 

• Experience operating as a Chef  
• Knowledge of financial processing and understanding P&L and stocktaking
