We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to join our UK team. This role offers a unique opportunity for professionals already in a sales role, or with operational experience in contract catering who are looking to transition into a sales-focused position.

 

Reporting directly to our VP of Sales, you will play a key role in identifying and converting new business opportunities within our Workplace sector.

 

Aligned specifically to our Workplace sector, we are leaders in the business and industry sector. Across the UK, we curate the workplaces for some of the most recognised names in tech, banking, engineering, retail, leisure and so many more.

 

Leveraging your existing relationships and operational expertise in contract catering, you will bring valuable insight to client interactions and help shape tailored solutions that drive business growth. With at least 2 years of experience in a sales or operational role within the contract catering industry, you'll bring confidence, relationship-building skills, and a passion for new business acquisition to the table.

A day in the life of a Business Development Director:

  • Responsible for developing and converting the pipeline into live opportunities through a tender or proposal process.
  • Takes full ownership of the sales process from creation of new opportunities, meeting prospects, to contract signoff, including proposal development, financial sign off and contract negotiation.
  • Liaise with subject matter experts and the support team, to ensure information is up to date and relevant to the client and Aramark requirements.
  • Works closely with the Operations teams and support functions to ensure they are fully on board with the solution being proposed.
  • Manages Salesforce for the activity and ensures it is always up to date.
  • Development and enhancement of a prospect pipeline through engagement, networking, and event attendance
  • Map out the potential prospects for the area and build relationships with the relevant buyers within those accounts.
  • Prioritise “must win” accounts and have a strategy for how they will be converted
  • Review all tender invites for the area and agree whether they are a “real” opportunity that fits into the company sales strategy
  • Build relationships with team members to facilitate effective sharing of best practice and open and honest relationships.
