Aramark UK have an incredible opportunity for an experienced sales leader to join us as an Event Sales Manager at Everton Football Club. The impressive brand-new Bramley-Moore Liverpool stadium is set to be one of the most revolutionary and advanced venues for fan experience in Europe. Serving 52,888 fans per matchday, the mission is to set the standard for excellence and create exceptional experiences for Evertonians.

 

As the Event Sales Manager for Everton’s new state-of-the-art stadium, you will play a pivotal role in the launch and establishment of the venue’s non-matchday events offering, laying the foundation for its long-term commercial success. This role is central to positioning the stadium as a premier destination for a wide range of events, from corporate conferences and exhibitions to Weddings and private celebrations, ensuring the venue becomes a key driver of ongoing revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Help deliver the launch strategy for non-match day events. This will include inputting on marketing collateral, packages, event prices etc.
•    To sell conferences and events at the stadium in line with the annual sales strategy and achieve agreed commercial targets.
•    Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities by conducting market research, networking with potential clients, attending industry events, making cold calls and building strategic partnerships with local networks to sell the event spaces. 
•    Prepare detailed and creative event proposals, create accurate event profit and loss sheets to ensure necessary EBITDs (earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation) for events and prepare client contracts. 
•    Ensuring a detailed handover to the stadium operations team outlining previous discussions, agreed terms and opportunities to upsell. 
•    Hosting site visits, attending networking events, trade shows and exhibitions. 
•    Networking, building, and maintaining relationships with a view to securing new business.
•    Accurately forecasting your pipeline and provide regular sales performance reports, track key performance indicators, and assess progress against targets. 
•    Conduct post-event follow-up calls to show client support, address feedback, and develop future sales opportunities.
•    Understanding the importance of data within your role and how it can support you to achieve commercial targets. Ensure accurate records/details are maintained in the CRM (customer relationship management) system. 
•    Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the key stakeholders.
•    Always promote a professional image of Everton Stadium and Aramark both internally and externally.
 

Key Requirements:

•    A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within the conference and event sales industry with strong, pro-active sales experience. 
•    Proven ability to develop new business, increase revenue and achieve high levels of conversion.
•    Previous Sales Management experience working with a high quality, globally recognised brand/organisation.
•    Strong understanding of the latest offerings and trends within the industry  
•    Ability to share passion for our business with our clients, to communicate a vision and build meaningful, long-term relationships.
•    A passion for food, excellence in customer service and is ready to challenge in the interest of delivering improvements across all areas of our business.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
•    Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high attention to detail
•    Competent in reporting sales forecasts and pipeline 
•    Experience of working in a stadium or large venue would be a distinct advantage.
