Short-Term Camp Cook/Chef (Full Time) – Aramark
- Location: Main Base: Redford Barracks, Edinburgh (travel across 13 sites in Scotland)
- Pay: Up to £14.50 per hour
- Contract: 35 hours per week Full time (with regular opportunities for overtime)
- Hours: 4-day working week | 3 out of 4 weekends

Are you a talented, hands-on chef looking for a role that takes you beyond the kitchen walls? At Aramark, we’re looking for passionate Camp Cooks/Chefs to join our team delivering catering excellence at Cadet Camps across Scotland.
Based at Redford Barracks, you’ll travel to a range of sites, leading kitchen teams and creating hearty, high-quality meals that fuel our cadets and staff. No two weeks are ever the same — perfect for chefs who thrive on variety, teamwork, and challenge.
What You’ll Do
- Run stand-alone camp kitchens, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Manage and support kitchen and agency staff
- Take ownership of stock control, deliveries, and store management
- Liaise with the STC management team to plan and deliver great service
- Load/unload stores and maintain a clean, organised workspace
- Adapt to different locations, teams, and camp schedules
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant culinary qualifications and proven kitchen experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to travel
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to work varied hours – early starts, occasional late finishes, and weekend shifts
