Title:  P/T Catering Assistant

Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Part-time Catering Assistant to join the team working at the High School of Dundee.

What you’ll do:  

• Assist with food preparation in the kitchen for break/lunches or hospitality service.  
• Assist with desserts and baking and any other items as requested by the Head Chef 
• Assist with setting up the hotplate for service times including 2 Lunch sittings and serving at service times to the agreed standards / recipes and in conjunction with any notified allergens  
• Work front of house on the tills, in the Pod for hot drinks and food service during peak times 
• Food safety & Hygiene Practices being complied with  
• Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleaning after lunch service to the agreed company standards. 

What we’re looking for: 

• Ability to pass a DBS/PVG check. 
• Previous experience working within a kitchen environment & Front of House service knowledge to be able to work in a busy operation.  
• Some basic knowledge of food preparation and cash handling as well as working with customers.  
• Be able to demonstrate self-motivation and drive 
• Experience of working within school or education catering an advantage  
• Good time management  
• Flexibility   
• Excellent presentation skills.
