We are currently looking for a Head Chef to work with our team at High School of Dundee, DD1 1HU.

This is an equated role working 42 weeks plus holidays.

What you'll be doing:

•    Responsible for food production in nursery, junior and senior dining areas
•    Adherence to food safety policy and prescribed in all areas of food production and service
•    Food presentation to be in accordance with Aramark standards and to encourage use of fresh produce where possible 
•    To work with the GM on all menus and specs using OPX recipes and production numbers 
•    Supervise the team on a daily basis  and ensure staff are following recipes and standards 
•    Produce and present hospitality food as and when required by the client
•    Manage stock through effective ordering, waste and production of recipes. 
•    Working with GM on  marketing promotions and theme days. 
•    Be involved in food  education programmes in conjunction with the client. 
•    Increase sales through all of the above ensuring GP margins are achieved. 
•    Team building and daily briefings. 
 

Experience:

•    Ideally Previous experience and knowledge of food production within education sector 
•    Leadership and delegation skills 
•    Ability to communicate at all levels, verbal and written
•    Knowledge of integrated food safety
•    Management system
•    Flexible approach
•    Knowledge of stock management and GP Margin achievement
•    Coaching and development skills 
•    Will be required to have or undertake a PVG check as required by the client
