Location:  High School of Dundee, Euclid Cresent, Dundee, DD1 1HU

Pay: £13.50/hour  

Hours: 32.5 hours per week

Shift times: Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 2.30pm (38 working weeks)

What you’ll do:

  • Ordering food supplies ensuring costs are kept to a minimum. 
  • Food safety & Hygiene Practices being complied with
  • Assisting with dishwashing and kitchen cleaning after lunch service to the agreed company standards
  • Preparation and cooking of Breakfast / Break items as well as Pizzas daily for Lunch service.
  • Assisting with desserts and baking and any other items as requested by the Head Chef
  • Setting up the hotplate for service times including Lunch sittings and serving at service times to the agreed standards / recipes and in conjunction with any notified allergens

 

What we’re looking for: 

  • College or work-based assessment to SVQ Professional Cookery SCQF level 5 minimum
  • Minimum of 1 year’s work experience within a kitchen environment and able to work unsupervised. Contract Catering experience is preferred
  • Be able to demonstrate self-motivation and drive
  • Experience of working within school or education catering an advantage
  • Good time management
  • Flexibility 
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Will be required to undertake a PVG check.
