Catering Assistant – Education (Nursery Kitchen)

Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Part-Time Catering Assistant to join our team working in the Nursery Kitchen at our education site in Dundee.

We are looking for a friendly and flexible team member to support the nursery kitchen with food preparation, cleaning, and serving meals to children. You’ll be working alongside a fantastic team, helping to deliver nutritious lunches and maintain a clean, safe environment.

A day in the life of a Catering Assistant:

• Assisting the Nursery Chef with basic food preparation (vegetables, fruit, desserts).
• Helping to serve food to nursery children, following portioning and presentation standards.
• Cleaning back-of-house areas, washing plates and equipment.
• Sweeping and mopping the dining room, laying and clearing lunch tables.
• Receiving deliveries and rotating stock efficiently.
• Following food hygiene and safety procedures.
• Supporting with waste disposal and recycling.

You will be set up for success if you have:

• Good communication skills, a well-presented appearance, and a flexible attitude.
• Ability to pass an Enhanced PVG Check.
• Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
• A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, but not required.
