Job Description
Aramark Property are seeking to hire a Technical Facilities Operative , based on a client site 40 hours per week , the ideal candidate will report to Aramark Property Estate Manager also based full time on site. The selected candidate will share the overall responsibility for the smooth operations of the entire estate. The primary function is to ensure the efficient management of the Facilities Management Services and Operations to include waste management, lighting controls, access control; utility data collection, RAMS approval; delivery and site attendance controls; oversee maintenance, cleaning, safety and security of the estate at all times. The candidate must maintain constant awareness of the importance of the clients corporate image; ESG goals and targets and ensure all occupier and visitor to the building have a first-class experience.
Job Responsibilities
• Carry out preventive, condition based, and corrective maintenance.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns onsite plumbing matters.
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and HVAC equipment onsite.
• Ensure business critical systems are constantly maintained and are effectively backed up with a suitable Business Continuity Plan.
• Liaise with and assist all Hard Services contractors – Generators, Boilers, Sprinkler Systems, UPSs, Life Safety, and Security Electronics.
• Provide maintenance support, data entry, equipment record updates, and performance reports along with implementation of continuous improvement across the FM function.
• Support the Estate Manager with day-to-day management of Hard and Soft Services.
• Support and liaise with equipment suppliers on new equipment installations and modifications.
• Update the maintenance management system along with recording of all changes, stores transactions made and work carried out.
• Be capable of using own judgement where required to ensure issues are dealt with promptly.
• Observing all onsite and legislative rules and regulations in terms of Health and Safety.
• Perform daily site walkthroughs to verify correct operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems.
• To observe and comply with all working practices and to ensure compliance with all appropriate health & safety and statutory requirements at all times.
• Ensure all Company paperwork is completed accurately and legibly at all times and presented in a timely manner.
• Participate in the Company’s out of hours’ emergency call out rota as required.
• Maintain a professional manner at all times and develop good working relationships with clients and other staff members.
Qualifications
Preferable:
• Qualified to QQI Level 6 advanced certificate (or equivalent) Senior Trade standard
• Plumbing, Electrical or Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Familiarity of Mechanical & Electrical systems including Air handling units, boilers, pumps and ventilation would be an advantage.
Skills required for the role
Knowledge of plumbing hot, cold and drainage water services
Post Qualification technical experience preferably in M&E Facilities.
Knowledge of HVAC systems including BMS controls
Knowledge of gas fed equipment and safety gear.
Knowledge of SFG 20 and CIBSE guidelines.
Knowledge of F-Gas regulations and asset tracking.
Experience of working in a five-star development.
Team player but also ability to work on their own.
Highly organised and motivated
Experience with I.T systems
The candidate must maintain constant awareness of the importance of the clients’ corporate image; ESG goals and targets and ensure all occupier and visitor to the building have a first- class experience.
Able to maintain detailed on-site records and report to the Technical Operations Manager in a clear concise manner.
Have a good “can do attitude” to work.
