Job Description
The Mechanical HVAC position is responsible for the operation, repair, maintenance, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Have the ability to support our Client network in delivering high class PPM and Reactive works in accordance with our agreed KPI’s and SLA’s in place.
Undertake maintenance repairs, installation or servicing work as detailed by Aramark / client specification.
Stay in sync with the Company’s procedures when working on a client’s premises.
Observe and always stay in sync with all working practices and to ensure compliance with the appropriate health & safety statutory requirements.
Maintain all Company issued equipment in a clean, serviceable, presentable, and safe manner.
Ensure all Company paperwork is always completed accurately and legibly in accordance with Statutory Compliance and expectations.
Participate in the Company’s out of hour’s emergency call out rota as the need arises.
Always maintain a professional manner and develop good working relationships with clients and other staff members.
Locate & purchase items of equipment to facilitate the speedy & effective service to our clients.
Ensure all professional qualifications required to undertake duties are accurate and up to date.
Attend review meetings where necessary.
Ensure that work area is maintained in a clean and tidy state and dispose of all waste products in a suitable manner and in line with company procedures
Site Specific duties;
(non-exhaustive) Maintenance on Fan Coil Units, motor changes, Strainers, CHW & LPHW Pipework, AC Split Units, Air Handling Units, Extracts, Commercial/Domestic Plumbing installations, Valves & Actuators, Pump sets, Drainage Systems/WHB and Toilet Facilities to ensure operation throughout, DHW Temperature Monitoring and Logging, Site Inspection Walks. Liaising with specialist subcontractors for specific plant items.
Proficient and capable of servicing all HVAC and Boiler house equipment, including pumps/pump sets, pressurisation units, make up units, vessels, pressure and expansion, and control panels and components.
Other: Familiarity with, BMS Systems, Generators, Sprinkler Systems, UPS Systems, Electrical Distribution, would be an advantage.
Knowledge of service and maintenance of oil and gas boilers from domestic to commercial would be helpful
Reacting as quickly and efficiently as possible in a professional manner to Facilities Related Issues that present on a daily basis, and tracking same via in-house CAFM System.
Operate within a weekly shift Monday – Friday -12pm-9pm (negotiable)
Occasionally work outside of qualification remit/job specification to assist Facilities Team in achieving end goal
Qualifications
- Proficient and capable of servicing all HVAC and Boiler house equipment, including pumps/pump sets, pressurization units, make up units, vessels, pressure and expansion, and control panels and components.
- Refrigeration Craft qualification (F-GAS C&G 2009 CAT 1)
- Formal training / certification in servicing split a/c, Air handling plants Full driving license
- Safepass
- Experience in maintaining and servicing large chillers installations / large Air Handling plants
- A proven knowledge of AHU, ventilation ancillaries and relevant controls a must
- GID gas qualifications
- An RGI qualification and a proven track record in the service and maintenance of oil and gas boilers from domestic to commercial would be helpful
- Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship
- Previous experience working in a building services maintenance role
