Job Description

 The Regional Support Manager will oversee 11 ETB sites  and support the operations, quality and safety, people, and financial functions of multiple food service locations within the assigned tender lot . This role ensures that all locations operate efficiently, maintain high standards of service, quality and safety, and achieve financial targets and other KPI’S as required for the ETB client.  Additionally, you will represent our organisation, attend client meetings as required, and support our managers at each site.  The role involves collaboration, decision-making with conviction, and the adaptability to change management styles to acclimate to each site as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with clients and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and transparent delivery of the service contract and contract retention.
  • Full awareness of the Service Level Agreement at each site and know the client expectations and business objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations of multiple food service units to ensure smooth and efficient functioning and are operating in line with Aramark protocols.
  • Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures.
  • Address operational challenges in real-time, utilising strategic problem-solving skills to maintain smooth operations.
  • Support the Regional Operations Manager as required across the region.  Support with set up and information for calls, host calls in their absence.
  • Additional focus on sites with areas of incompetence and training needs.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Support with concept days from the foundation to roll out to assist the culinary teams.

2. Quality and Safety:

  • Ensure all locations adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards of food quality and service.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Provide training and support to staff on quality and safety protocols.

3. People:

  • In conjunction with the Regional Manager and Site Managers, identify talent and promote development and succession planning across the region.
  • Assist in the training and development of unit managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Address employee relations issues and provide support to site managers in conjunction with ER/HR Department.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement through recognition and clear communication.

4. Finance:

  • Monitor financial performance of each location and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Analyse financial reports and identify areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets, QBR meetings, KPI monthly reviews.
  • Work with site managers to implement financial controls and achieve financial targets, and where required assist with financial understanding and upskilling.

Qualifications

Contract Mobilisation:

  • Support Aramark’s Mobilisation Manager in mobilising new contracts within the region.
  • Conduct thorough site visits and assessments to understand client requirements, tailoring catering services to meet specific needs. And understand the nuances of individual autonomy at each site.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive mobilisation plans, ensuring a smooth transition from contract initiation to full-scale operation.
