We are seeking an ambitious, driven and experienced Operations Director to oversee the delivery of all our services to a mixed client portfolio of key clients with operations through-out Ireland.

The Operations Director will hold full accountability and ownership for all service lines with the region of responsibility including FM, Food Services, Property Management and supporting services including financial performance combined with a focus on maintaining customer relationships and enhancing the customers workplace experience every day.

The successful candidate will focus on clients and occupant service excellence for hard and soft services whilst meeting or exceeding customer service level agreements through an efficient, flexible, and profitable service delivery.

Budget control, reporting and client satisfaction are key deliverables for this role. Working as a key member of a dynamic team providing excellence in TFM they need to be recognised as operational leader bringing their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for integrated facilities services to the table.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • To develop strong relationships with the clients and their teams in order to foster excellent working relationships at every level and optimise the commercial position of the account.
  • Develop an organisational culture, which reflects both Aramark’s and the client’s core values, such that a positive employee relations climate and working environment of continuous improvement is created in order to drive demonstrable value to the client and enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Lead and inspire the whole team within the region toward the cost-effective delivery of our contractual obligations in such a way to meet and exceed clients’ expectations.
  • Demonstrate the delivery of contract service provisions via clearly defined contract metrics (SLAs/KPIs).
  • Monitor, evaluate and report all risks, both technical and commercial, and escalate where appropriate.
  • Develop investment & capex plans, operational budgets, and projections through to agreement with the clients.
  • Manage the contracts financial plan, achieving monthly margins and minimising unbilled and aged debt.
  • Ownership of Quarterly Business Reviews for multiple clients (QBR).
  • Support, encourage and develop the on-site teams to enable them to excel at what they do best.
  • Management of HR issues ensuring company policies are fully implemented and promote the welfare of the team.
  • Take overall responsibility for all quality, environmental and health & safety issues and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements including the timely close out of audit action plans.
  • Identify, implement, and promote innovations/projects to enhance service delivery and/or customer experience.
  • Production and delivery of reports, support the Operations Director and participate in the 24/7 emergency on call service as required.
  • Ensure that operations comply with ISO-9001, 14001 and 45001.
  • Encourage and liaise with the client to expand the scope of the contracts into the supply of other services.
  • Work closely with other support functions to develop the existing customer and contract base.

Qualifications

  • A proven successful track record working as Operations Director with responsible for full profit and loss of multi-site national contracts.
  • Strong commercial and operational awareness with an ability to diagnose commercial, technical and system challenges.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional customer service by self and through others.
  • Accreditation to IPFMA, IFMA or similar is advantageous.
  • A formal H&S qualification i.e. IOSH certificate or similar is advantageous.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 – 50001 is advantageous.
  • English essential - Excellent communication skills including verbal and the written word.
