Job Description

You will have an engineering or facility management sales background with experience and understanding of the built environment, ideally you have worked in facility management previously and understand hard services and Total Facility Management. Experience in presenting and selling at executive corporate/procurement level will be a considerable advantage.

The successful person will have a strong emphasis on collaboration and relationship building/management both with existing and potential customers but also with internal stakeholders and the wider team that will contribute to success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and converting the pipeline into live opportunities through a tender or proposal process.
  • Takes full ownership of the sales process from meeting to contract signoff, including proposal development , financial sign off and client negotiation.
  • Liaise with subject matter experts and the support team, to ensure information is up to date and relevant to the client and Aramark requirements.
  • Works closely with the Operations teams to ensure they are fully on board with the solution being proposed.
  • Manages Salesforce for the activity and ensure it is always up to date.
  • Development and enhancement of pipeline through networking, and event attendance
  • Map out the potential prospects for the area and build relationships with the relevant buyers within those accounts.
  • Prioritise “must win” accounts and have a strategy for how they will be converted
  • Review all tender invites for the area and agree whether they are a “real” opportunity that fits into the company sales strategy
  • Establish the strategy and tactics for the tendering process, to identify the key client needs and what we need to do to win.
  • Communicate with the team of people required to contribute to the process to ensure everyone is fully aligned.
  • Work closely with the bid writers to agree style and design of the documentation as appropriate.
  • Liaise with the finance team to ensure the financial build will meet with the client’s objectives and Aramark’s profit requirements
  • Where a presentation is required, create the plan and coordinate all the necessary materials and resources needed.
  • Lead negotiations with the client to close the deal.
  • Use the system to help seek out potential clients and build a long-term plan of target accounts.
  • Establish clear and appropriate levels of communications with all team members within business development, operations and functional support teams
  • Build relationships with team members to facilitate effective sharing of best practice and open and honest relationships.
  • Ensure full compliance with all required legislation and internal policies and procedures

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and ideally Salesforce or similar system
  • Influencing, coaching and motivating a diverse team
  • At least five years’ experience in a sales role with a proven successful track record
  • Successfully worked with a range of clients
  • Experience of working within a matrix designed organization
