Job Description

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Event Sales Manager to assist the Head of Sales to lead the Re-active Sales Team within Seasons at GUINNESS STOREHOUSE. Based in the GUINNESS STOREHOUSE. Their function will be primarily to ensure the sales team are highly effective and an excellent standard of sales & event coordination is maintained within the department. The successful candidate will work together with the Head of Sales to implement the reactive sales strategy to meet commercial targets.

Key Duties Include:

  • Co-ordinating key events and communicating with all departments within GUINNESS STOREHOUSE.
  • Ensure sales team follow standards required at all times and that all company policies & procedures are adhered to
  • Ensuring all processes are followed correctly by the team and triaing given where needed
  • Diary & yield management to maximise revenue and profitability of all spaces and encouraging upsell
  • To report and communicate accurately financial results  by forecasting, monitoring conversion levels, sales meetings and other reports as they arise
  • Develop and maintain client database with 100% accuracy
  • Manage (or oversee management of) all Diageo and VIP events along with any Seasons managed events or special activities as appropriate, and to assist the Head of Sales in the same
  • To ensure a timely and robust post event feedback process, and to report and escalate any challenges therein
  • Support Head of Sales on business development activities as required, such as assisting in proactive sales activities where needed. 
  • Working closely with the Head of Sales to drive sales and customer retention
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with the key stakeholders in our business (GUINNESS STOREHOUSE, DIAGEO Plc, ARAMARK Ireland, Tour Operators, Key Clients and our Business Partners).
  • Promote a professional image of both GUINNESS STOREHOUSE and ARAMARK Ireland at all times both internally and externally.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years experience of Event managements in the Tourism / Hospitality industry, with Degree level qualification in Business / Hospitality related discipline a distinct advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years team management
  • Commercially aware, keyed into changes within the industry with a proven ability to develop new business, increase revenue and maximise yield performance.
  • Good knowledge of the MICE markets to ensure GUINNESS STOREHOUSE retains its position as one of the country’s leading meetings and events venues.
  • A highly motivated attitude and ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Ability to share passion for our business with our clients, to communicate a vision and build meaningful, long term relationships
  • Excellence in customer service and is ready to challenge in the interest of delivering improvements across all areas of our business.
  • • Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • • Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high attention to detail
