A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Event Designer to work in the event sales team at Guinness Storehouse. The candidate will have responsibility for coordinating and managing sales and a wide range of event functions within the business.
Based in the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality customer service in order to meet client expectations and commercial revenue targets, within the events area of the business.
Job Responsibilities
- Co-ordinating events and communicating with all departments within Guinness Storehouse to include efficient enquiry management, proposal generation, meeting clients, providing professional showrounds and facilitating fam trips, contracting and final details, and accurate invoicing.
- Effective diary management of the in-house booking system
- Maintaining the client database with 100% accuracy
- Relationship management with client accounts and key stakeholders
- Aid with business development activities as required
- Be commercially focused
- Networking, building and maintaining relationships with a view to securing new business
- Maintaining excellent working relationships with the key stakeholders in our business (Guinness Storehouse, Diageo Plc, Aramark Ireland, Tour Operators, Key Clients and our Business Partners).
- Promoting a professional image of both Guinness Storehouse and Aramark Ireland at all times both internally and externally.
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the Tourism / Hospitality industry within a conference and banqueting, corporate events or hospitality role
- Excellent English both verbal and written and exceptional communication skills
- Computer literate
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work on own initiative
- Flexible to meet the needs of the business
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude to work
- Comfortable working within a busy and dynamic team/business
- 3rd level qualification in business/or hospitality would be beneficial
- Good understanding of business tourism and events industry
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- High attention to detail
