Job Description
The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across a manufacturing site and its office facilities. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to site hygiene and safety standards. The successful candidate will support daily cleaning operations to ensure a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of all manufacturing areas, including production floors, corridors, restrooms, canteens, changing rooms, and waste disposal zones.
Clean and maintain all office spaces, meeting rooms, reception areas, and communal areas.
Conduct sanitisation of touchpoints, equipment, and high-traffic areas in line with hygiene protocols.
Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with training and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Empty bins, recycle waste appropriately, and ensure proper disposal in line with site procedures.
Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll.
Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or areas requiring attention to the site supervisor.
Follow all site safety guidelines, including manufacturing-specific requirements.
Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained, stored properly, and used safely.
Support deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled or requested.
Qualifications
Previous cleaning experience in a manufacturing or commercial environment (preferred but not essential).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and strong work ethic.
Flexibility to work shifts within operational hours (07:00–23:45).
Ability to follow health & safety and hygiene procedures.
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
Manual handling ability (training can be provided).
Flexible hours based on mutual agreement (20–40 hours).
On-site training provided.
