Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, hygienic, and safe environments across our facilities. As a Cleaning Operative, you will demonstrate strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to upholding professional workplace standards whilst working collaboratively with colleagues and management. Your efficiency, resilience, and customer-focused approach will be essential to ensuring our facilities remain welcoming and well-maintained for all users.

• Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitisation of assigned areas, including offices, communal spaces, and specialist facilities, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene - Stock and replenish cleaning supplies and materials as needed, maintaining accurate inventory records and reporting shortages promptly - Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively, ensuring all machinery is kept in good working order
• Follow health and safety regulations and company cleaning standards consistently, ensuring full compliance at all times - Report maintenance issues, hazards, or damage to management transparently and promptly, demonstrating proactive problem-solving - Work flexibly across assigned shifts and locations as required, demonstrating resilience and adaptability to changing priorities
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times, representing the organisation positively to all facility users - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of cleaning tasks, supporting colleagues where needed - Communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors regarding any concerns, observations, or suggestions for improvement
• Respond to customer and facility user needs with courtesy and professionalism, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort - Adhere to environmental and sustainable cleaning practices where applicable, contributing to the organisation's commitment to sustainability - Maintain confidentiality and discretion when working in sensitive facility areas

Qualifications

**Required:** - Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial, or facility maintenance roles - Strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team - Physical capability to perform manual cleaning tasks and lift heavy items safely

• Excellent time keeping and organisational skills - Comprehensive knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures - Familiarity with health and safety regulations in workplace environments - Reliability and flexibility to work various shifts as required - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Trustworthiness and discretion when working in different facility areas - Customer service orientation and professional demeanour - Proactive approach to identifying and addressing cleaning needs - Environmental awareness and commitment to sustainable practices **Desirable:**
• Previous experience in commercial or corporate cleaning environments - Basic health and safety training or certification - Experience with specialist cleaning equipment or techniques - Knowledge of environmental and sustainable cleaning practices - Experience working in diverse facility types (offices, retail, healthcare settings) - Familiarity with cleaning management systems or digital reporting tools - Experience working within facilities management teams
