Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Catering Assistant to join our dynamic catering team in Dublin, Ireland. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional food service and creating a welcoming experience for our clients and guests. Working collaboratively with our catering team, you will support the preparation, serving, and presentation of high-quality food and beverages whilst maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism.

• Prepare fresh, made-to-order food items including hot and cold selections, ensuring all items meet our rigorous quality standards - Serve customers with a friendly, professional demeanour, taking orders accurately and handling payments with precision - Maintain clean and inviting serving areas, keeping counters, display units, and merchandise well-stocked and attractively presented
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards by cleaning back-of-house areas, crockery, cutlery, and light equipment using appropriate methods and materials - Keep public-facing areas spotless and welcoming, attending to detail in all aspects of the service environment
• Communicate proactively with your line manager, reporting customer feedback, stock requirements, equipment faults, and any potential hazards identified during your shift - Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with basic administrative and computer-based tasks as assigned - Work flexibly as part of a collaborative team, adapting to changing priorities and supporting colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery

Qualifications

**Required:** - Excellent customer service skills with a genuine commitment to creating positive experiences - Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices - Strong teamwork and communication abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Reliability and flexibility, including willingness to adapt to varying shift patterns - Attention to detail and organisational skills - Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods - Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and stock management **Desirable:**
• Previous experience in food preparation or catering environments - Food hygiene certification or willingness to obtain one during induction - Experience using point-of-sale systems or basic computer skills - Enthusiasm for learning new skills and developing within the catering industry
