Job Description
The Café Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, ensuring high standards of customer service, food quality, and cleanliness. This role involves managing staff, controlling inventory, maintaining health and safety standards, and driving profitability through effective leadership and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
• Oversee daily café operations including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards.
• Staff Management
• Recruit, train, and supervise café staff.
• Create staff schedules and manage shift coverage.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and support.
• Customer Service
• Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer complaints
professionally.
• Promote a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all guests.
• Financial Management
• Monitor sales, costs, and profitability.
• Manage budgets and control expenses.
• Handle cash management and reconcile daily takings.
• Inventory & Supply Chain
• Order supplies and manage stock levels.
• Liaise with suppliers and ensure timely deliveries.
• Marketing & Promotion
• Support promotional activities and seasonal campaigns.
• Maintain social media presence and engage with the local community.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in café or hospitality management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Basic financial and budgeting skills.
• Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software.
