Aramark Northern Europe is currently recruiting for Business Development Manager to join our team in Newenham House, Northern Cross Dublin 17. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the Business Development Manager will have responsibility for co-ordinating and managing sales within the food contract catering market for both the Southern and Northern Ireland market place. The successful candidate will work with the existing Sales team and relevant Operational and Support teams to implement the Sales Strategy in order to meet our financial targets.  The Business Development Manager will identify, negotiate and close new business opportunities, manage the tender process and in addition support retention within our existing client base. New sales and retention targets will be agreed with the Head of Sales with progress reviewed monthly.

This is a full time and permanent role.


•    Implement the agreed sales/retention plan and meet agreed financial targets
•    Manage all sales and tender activities within your defined business portfolio
•    Work with Operations and key support functions (Marketing, Food Development, Finance) to ensure proposals are tailored to specific Client needs and Company objectives
•    Networking, building and maintaining relationships with a view to securing new business
•    Work closely with the relevant Client Account Managers to drive sales and retention within the regions 
•    Provide regular reports to the Head of Sales 


•    3 years experience in a Sales role, preferably food sales
•    Evidence of strong relationship building and networking
•    Experience within the Catering/Hospitality industry would be an advantage 
•    3rd Level qualification or equivalent
•    A passion for food and excellence in customer service 
•    Commercially aware, keyed into changes within the industry, high street trends and customer profiles.
•    A keen understanding of client perspective and customer centric approach to client relationship management.
•    The ability to share passion for our business with our clients, to communicate a vision and build meaningful, long-term relationships. 
•    Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at all levels, in particular through formal presentations.
•    Excellent organisation skills including the ability to develop project plans and schedules, including requirements, tasks, work assignments, etc.  
•    Competent in developing budgets and managing costs.
