Job Description
The General Catering Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and delivery of a high‑volume catering operation, ensuring excellent food quality, customer service, financial performance, and compliance across all catering services on a large site.
Job Responsibilities
Lead daily catering operations across multiple outlets (Staff Restaurants, Barista Bars, Kitchenettes, and bespoke hospitality events).
Manage, train, and support a large team including supervisors, chefs, and service staff.
Deliver strong financial performance by managing budgets, labour costs, stock, and profitability.
Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer experience.
Maintain full compliance with food safety, hygiene, allergen controls, and health & safety regulations.
Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and customers.
Drive continuous improvement, menu innovation, sustainability initiatives, and service efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and client engagement abilities.
Financial and commercial acumen.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and compliance requirements.
Ability to manage large‑scale, fast‑paced operations.
