Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, hygienic, and safe environments across our facilities. As a Cleaning Operative, you will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to maintaining professional workplace standards whilst working collaboratively with colleagues and management.

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, following all manufacturer guidelines - Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across various facility areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and communal spaces to the highest standards - Stock and replenish cleaning supplies and materials as needed, maintaining accurate inventory records
• Follow health and safety regulations and company cleaning standards consistently, ensuring compliance at all times - Report maintenance issues, hazards, or damage to management promptly and transparently - Work flexibly across assigned shifts and locations as required, demonstrating resilience and adaptability - Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times, representing the organisation positively
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of cleaning tasks - Communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors regarding any concerns, observations, or suggestions for improvement - Respond to customer and facility user needs with courtesy and professionalism, ensuring their satisfaction - Adhere to environmental and sustainable cleaning practices where applicable

Qualifications

**Required:** - Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial, or facility maintenance roles - Strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team - Physical capability to perform manual cleaning tasks and lift heavy items safely - Excellent time keeping and organisational skills - Comprehensive knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures - Familiarity with health and safety regulations in workplace environments
• Reliability and flexibility to work various shifts as required - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Trustworthiness and discretion when working in different facility areas - Customer service orientation and professional demeanour **Desirable:**
• Previous experience in commercial or corporate cleaning environments - Basic health and safety training or certification - Experience with specialist cleaning equipment or techniques - Knowledge of environmental and sustainable cleaning practices - Experience working in diverse facility types (offices, retail, healthcare settings) - Familiarity with cleaning management systems or digital reporting tools
