We are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to be a part of our integral team at Driffield Cadet Training Camp, Eastburn Road, Driffield, YO25 9HD

Job Responsibilities

  • £11.44 per hour
  • Part time – 25 hours per week, Saturday, Sunday and Thursdays
  • Occasional extra work during the week dependant on business needs 
  • Shifts ranging between 6am – 7pm

Qualifications

  • Serve food and beverages to customers
  • Operating tills and handling cash
  • General cleaning duties of the dining rooms and kitchen areas
  • Light food preparation as instructed by the Chef
  • Keeps diligent records as required
  • Follow food hygiene and safety procedures

Driffield Camp operates majority of the time at weekends supporting the Army Cadet Force (ACF).  This community-based program offers a wide range of fun and exciting activities. Here are some highlights:
⦁    Fieldcraft: Learn outdoor survival skills, navigation, and teamwork.
⦁    Adventure Training: Participate in thrilling outdoor adventures like rock climbing, kayaking, and hiking.
⦁    Music: Explore your musical talents through playing instruments or singing.
⦁    Sports: Engage in various sports and physical fitness activities.
⦁    Shooting: Learn firearm safety and marksmanship.
⦁    Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme: Work towards achieving this prestigious award.
We provide the catering service whilst the cadets are at site – serving breakfast, lunch and evening meal to them.
As well as the weekends, we occasionally have adult groups during the week so extra hours are sometimes available depending on the business.

Experience

⦁    Previous experience in a front of house or kitchen role would be preferred however on the job training will be provided.
⦁    Great team player, flexible with shift patterns, especially at weekends
⦁    DBS check required
