Salary: £30,279.94 
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 40 per week, 5 days over 7 (including weekends)
Shift times:  Flexible weekday hours for ordering, deliveries & prep, typical weekend hours, Saturday: 6am–7pm, Sunday: 6am–2pm

Please note: To work on this Defence contract, you’ll need to have lived in the UK for the past three years, hold the legal right to work here, and successfully pass Security Vetting and DBS checks.

What you’ll do: 

  • This is your kitchen, your standards, your team. In this hands-on role, you’ll:
  • Lead food production, menu delivery, service, stock control & ordering
  • Maintain exceptional food quality for up to 150 covers (typically ~100)
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and company policies
  • Support & develop a team of GSAs and agency staff
  • Manage the unit’s financial performance with confidence
  • Deliver menu cycles and approved recipes with consistency and creativity

You’ll shine if you have:

  • NVQ Level 3 Culinary (or equivalent)
  • Food Hygiene certification
  • Solid numeracy & a good grasp of H&S legislation
  • Confidence in the kitchen and passion for great food
  • Effective communication & team leadership skills
  • Creativity, adaptability & a drive to innovate
  • Ability to pass full Security Vetting and DBS checks.
