Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Cook in their Education sector to join our team at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College,Darlington DL37AU.

You will be assisting with the production of both hot and cold food, deli grab & go items and serving on the hot food counter at breakfast and lunchtime, providing excellent customer service to our customers and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are followed.

  • Hours are Monday- Friday 7am-2.30
  • The hourly rate is £19,000

A day in the life of a Cook Supervisor

  • Preparation and cooking of food following recipes as Aramark standard
  • Carry out monthly stock takes
  • Monitor portion numbers, control food wastage on site and take appropriate action as required
  • Produce menu costings, ensure regular monitoring of menus for variety and to provide innovative ideas for menu planning
  • Ensure that the highest standard of food quality, presentation and service are achieved and maintained at all times
  • Build and maintain good customer relations and seek feedback from customers and react to customer needs in a timely manner
  • Motivate team to deliver excellence in customer service
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and safety in respect of premises, staff and food handling by ensuring that all staff members attend the company hygiene and safety training
  • Ensure the unit adheres to the Food Hygiene Regulations Act and Food Hygiene Regulations and any other relevant legislation particularly HACCP

You'll be set up for success if you have:

  • Proven experience of managing a kitchen at Cook/Supervisor level or in a large multi outlet operation
  • Excellent customer service experience
