Aramark is currently seeking an experienced Retail & Food Services Manager to join the team at Cork University Hospital. Reporting to the General Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role supporting the day-to-day operation of all retail and food service outlets on site. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, managing teams, ensuring compliance, and driving operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

Receive, check, and accurately put away deliveries, ensuring correct booking on Aramark systems
Maintain accurate storage of food items and equipment in line with food safety standards
Prepare food according to recipes and production guidelines, including light cooking duties
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, grills, fryers, ovens, and broilers
Serve food and/or beverages to customers to company standards
Ensure full compliance with food hygiene legislation, particularly HACCP regulations
Prepare service areas and service points prior to service
Carry out cleaning duties associated with food service, equipment, and furniture
Handle cash transactions accurately, following company cash handling and till procedures
Present a professional image at all times and deliver excellent customer service
Comply with and actively promote company health & safety policies
Adhere to all Aramark policies and procedures

Qualifications

Previous experience in a catering or hospitality environment (desirable)
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role
Knowledge of food hygiene standards, including HACCP
Strong customer service skills with a courteous and professional manner
Good understanding of spoken and written English
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Training

Basic Food Hygiene certification (must be obtained within the first six months if not already held)
On-the-job training will be provided
