Job Description

Aramark is currently recruiting for enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Porters to join our team at our client site in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food service and hospitality who enjoy working as part of a busy team environment.

The successful candidates will work a full-time schedule of 39 hours per week, 5 days over 7, and must be fully flexible as shifts may vary depending on business requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure all food hygiene and safety regulations are adhered to, with particular attention to HACCP standards.
Receive and check food deliveries, ensuring only produce of the highest quality is accepted.
Ensure all food is stored correctly in line with food hygiene regulations and FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation procedures.
Prepare service areas and service points for daily operations.
Carry out cleaning duties associated with kitchen areas, service equipment, and furniture.
Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures accurately.
Ensure the correct storage of food items and equipment after service.
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform presentation.
Comply with and support the implementation of Aramark's Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Identify and report any health and safety hazards within the kitchen and surrounding work areas.
Assist in other onsite kitchen units during quieter periods as required.
Support colleagues and contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the department.
Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

A keen interest in food, hospitality, and customer service.
Previous experience in a hospitality, catering, or kitchen environment is desirable.
Experience working effectively as part of a team.
Good knowledge of Food Hygiene standards, including HACCP principles.
Strong communication skills with a good understanding of English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Reliable, flexible, and willing to support the wider team when required.
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
