Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and organised Operations Assistant to join our team. This is a varied,hands-on role combining goods-in and goods-out duties.You will help ensure goods are received accurately, stored correctly, picked efficiently and dispatched safely in support of our daily operations.The ideal candidate enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in doing things properly, and has a positive, can-do attitude.

Job Responsibilities

Safely Deliver food, beverages, equipment and supplies to onsite & offsite locations

• Load and unload deliveries, ensuring items are handled with care
• Check orders before departure to ensure accuracy
• Plan delivery routes effectively to meet delivery schedules
• Obtain delivery confirmations and signatures where required
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean, roadworthy and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Receive and check internal and external deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Identify and report shortages, damages or discrepancies.
• Store stock safely and accurately in the correct locations.
• Maintain stock traceability and comply with HACCP procedures.
• Accurately pick customer and internal orders.
• Pack products safely to maintain quality during transport.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Comply with all Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety procedures.
• Participate in daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Support colleagues across the operation as required, including internal deliveries and other operational duties.

Qualifications

• Full, clean Category B driving licence.
• Previous experience in delivery driving
• Reliable, punctual and organised.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with manual handling.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Previous experience in warehouse, goods-in, goods-out or delivery roles.
• Experience working within the food or catering industry.
• Understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Basic computer and administrative skills.
