Job Description

Aramark Ireland is currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our team at a client site near Cork City Centre. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, delivery, and kitchen operations across all areas of the business. This is a full-time position, and flexibility in working hours is required.

Qualifications

  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, food safety, service, and presentation in accordance with HACCP and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Assist with menu planning and costing to achieve budgeted gross profit margins while minimising waste.
  • Support the ordering of food and kitchen supplies in line with company purchasing procedures and approved supplier lists.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
  • Complete all Food Safety and Quality documentation accurately and consistently.
  • Maintain excellent standards of personal and kitchen hygiene at all times.
  • Support the day-to-day management and performance of the kitchen team.
  • Check, probe, and sign for food deliveries, ensuring only high-quality produce is accepted.
  • Ensure all food is attractively presented, served at the correct temperature, and appropriately recorded.
  • Participate in stock takes and inventory control procedures.
  • Regularly review kitchen hazards with the Chef Manager/Catering Manager and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Carry out daily and weekly cleaning duties to the highest standard.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties related to food preparation, service, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Relevant culinary qualification.
  • 1-2 years' experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Experience within an industrial, commercial, or contract catering environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP procedures and food safety documentation.
  • Experience supporting menu planning and menu development.
  • Understanding of food cost control, stock management, and waste reduction practices.
