Aramark are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join one of our teams on a client site in the Little Island Cork area. The role is to provide catering onsite service in accordance with Aramark’s standardised program to meet or exceed client expectations.
Job Responsibilities
The Catering Assistant is responsible for ensuring the premise is kept clean & tidy, helping the chef manager with the daily task of running a food business, which would include some light food preparations, general cleaning, washing up & till manning.
- Service of food and/or beverages to customers to the standards set by Aramark.
- Cleaning duties & washing up duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
- Preparation of service area.
- Correct storage of food items and equipment after service.
- Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations always.
- Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy.
- Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s equal opportunity policy.

- An interest in food and service.
- Handling cash transactions and ensuring the accurate cash handling procedures are followed in accordance with company procedure and till procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills & courteous manner
- Ability to work with minimal direction and as part of a team.
- Ability to complete paperwork as assigned by your line manager
- Dedication and self-motivation

Qualifications
- High personal standards and attention to detail
- Experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with a catering environment desirable. On the job training will be given.
- Must acquire basic food hygiene qualification within first six months.
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP.
- 1 years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Good understanding of English.
