Job Description

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • • Prepare, trim, cut, and process meat products according to production requirements and specifications.
  • Operate processing equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational guidelines. • Weigh, label, package, and store meat products accurately to ensure traceability and quality. • Maintain high production standards and consistency across all meat processing activities. • Ensure strict adherence to HACCP and Food Safety regulations at all times.
  • Complete online orders accurately and efficiently, meeting agreed delivery timelines. • Conduct stocktaking and implement proper stock rotation procedures to minimise waste. • Maintain Quality Control standards and conduct regular quality checks on all products. • Maintain accurate record-keeping and ensure HACCP documentation is kept up to date.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of all equipment, machinery, and work surfaces to ensure hygiene standards. • Comply with health and safety legislation and contribute to a safe working environment for all team members. • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operational workflow. • Assist with customer enquiries and provide advice on meat products when required.

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:** • Minimum 5 years' experience in butchery or meat processing, ideally within a retail environment • HACCP certification (Level 1 or above) or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months of employment

  • Proven expertise in meat cuts, butchery techniques, and product knowledge • Exceptional knife skills and safe handling of processing equipment and machinery • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining quality control standards **Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Demonstrated experience in stock management and inventory control procedures • Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation systems, particularly HACCP documentation • Experience with online ordering systems and order fulfilment processes • Knowledge of meat grading and product traceability requirements • A team player who leads by example and contributes positively to workplace culture
  • A hard-working, flexible, and committed individual with a strong work ethic • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to provide product advice • Computer literacy and familiarity with point-of-sale or inventory management systems • Physical fitness and stamina to meet the demands of a fast-paced production environment
